- The New Teacher Coming!
OPEN WORLD ACADEMY に新しい先生が来てくださいました(*^^*)
Hi, my name’s Andrew and I’m from the UK. I studied at Leeds University and the University of Sussex before coming to Kumamoto in 2014. I also lived in Shonan for a year in 2008-09. Kumamoto is very different to Shonan but I enjoy the friendliness of the people here and the calmer way of life.
My favourite football team is Preston North End but it’s hard to watch them in Japan because they’re not so popular.
One of my best memories of my time in Japan was seeing the sun set behind Mount Fuji from Fujisawa station. The worst was probably experiencing the earthquakes in Kumamoto!

- NEW Teacher Coming!!
My name is Cole Tatge and I’m from Central Texas. I studied English in college and I have always been intrigued by Japanese culture. I love to read novels, watch cartoons (especially anime), and play video games and board games with friends and family. After I studied abroad in Fukuoka in 2015 I knew I wanted to come back to Japan, and teaching English seemed like the perfect opportunity. I love meeting new people and sharing worldy knowledge and experience. I can’t wait to help my students understand the English language as well as to learn as much as I can about the Japanese culture and lifestyle through them.

My names is James Lyons.
I’m from Minnesota in the United States. It’s a very cold place!
I have studied at Seinan Gakuin University in Fukuoka! I love Japanese culture, history, literature, and film.
